Privacy Policy
Welcome to Falmivo. This policy explains how we handle information related to family photo labeling. Falmivo is local-first: photos, person regions, names, written sources, and recordings are stored by default in the app sandbox on your device. The app does not perform face recognition and does not infer identity for you.
1. Who we are
Falmivo is an iOS app that helps you manually mark people on family photos, record names, and keep confirmation sources. Contact us via the App Store product page or the email on the Support page.
2. Information we process
- Content you add: family photos or scans, optional backs, inscription notes, boxed regions, names/aliases/kinship, source notes, optional recordings, question cards, and related desk records.
- Local profile: nickname and either a preset avatar or an avatar you pick from Photos.
- On-device technical state: Photos, Camera, and Microphone permission status for feature gates. We do not collect contacts, precise location trails, or unrelated sensor data for this purpose.
- Optional device identity & cloud archive: to restore after reinstall or device change, the app may keep a device identifier in Keychain / sync containers and, when online, use it for optional profile and collection snapshots. It is not used for advertising profiling.
3. Permissions
- Photos: import photos you choose, or an avatar.
- Camera: capture front/back of a photo.
- Microphone: record source notes you start.
- Network: optional restore, collection sync, and media upload. Core labeling works offline.
If you deny Photos/Camera/Microphone, you can still keep existing records and use written sources. The app does not request permission to write into the system Photos library; numbered images and PDFs leave via the system share sheet.
4. Local storage and optional sync
- Default local: results stay on device for indexes, confirm lists, question cards, desks, and export.
- Optional cloud: when you complete a profile or the app syncs a collection, necessary fields and media may be sent to our open-platform APIs and object storage. Business records store only final public media URLs—not signed upload URLs, keys, or temporary credentials.
- Active sharing: content leaves the app when you export/share. Photo exports exclude recordings by default.
5. What we do not do
- No face recognition, biometric matching, or automatic identity claims.
- We do not sell your family photos or oral notes.
- We do not use your photo content to train public recognition models.
- We do not use family content for unrelated ad targeting.
6. Sharing and third parties
Share sheet, Mail, Files, and similar destinations are controlled by the recipient you choose. Open-platform APIs and object storage participate only when optional networking is used, under their terms. Apple permissions and App Store rules apply as usual.
7. Retention, deletion, and export
- Delete individual records in-app, or clear local data from Me (with confirmation).
- Deleting in-app data does not remove copies you already shared elsewhere.
- Uninstalling usually clears the sandbox; a Keychain device id may remain so a reinstall can reclaim an archive. To delete optional cloud private records, contact us via Support.
8. Children and family scenes
The app is intended for adults organizing family photos. If photos include minors, confirm you have appropriate permission and share carefully.
9. Updates
We may update this policy and will change the “Last updated” date here. For material changes, please review before continuing to use the app.
